How easy is it to balance the pressures of driving for business with being safe on the road? My fleet training experience has been with company reps, their managers and limited to car and light van drivers. I wonder how many company drivers think about and plan their journeys. What time do they set off?  How long do they drive until they take a break. Do they take a break? How long is the road trip? Are overnights stops planned in? The list goes on and on. Do managers consider how many miles their reps are driving each day or week? What's their expectation of their staff's willingness to do mileage to get the job done? Do managers ever step in to prevent too many miles/hours on the road? Can reps say no? What's the risk?
